Pixie Bob Eyes

There are only two eye colours for a Pixie Bob. Gold/Hazel and Gooseberry Green. All kittens when born will have blue eyes and will change to one of the accepted colours as they grow. Some have the golden colour with a hint of green.

The brow of the eye is prominent with heavy boning and brushy hair above the eyes, creating a hooded appearance. The shape is flat on top and the bottom lid angled slightly upward towards the outside of eye, making a soft triangle. The size of the eye is medium, they are deep set and one eye width apart. The corner of the eye must meet the base of the ear with a horizontal line.

There must be a band of cream or white directly surrounding the eye where the mascara must follow the corner of the eye downwards to the cheeks. It is common for the Pixie-bob to appear to be Half-asleep (Not!) gazing through partially closed eyes. This apparent lack of alertness is very common in many feral animals. Shake a feather on a stick in front of your Pixie Bob and you will see an instant response with a magical wild look.

Pixie Bobs have the most amazing eyes which give them the most fabulous wild appearance. The head of a Pixie Bob equals 40 points in the show ring 10 of which are for the eyes, 39 points are the body and 21 points are for the coat/colour/pattern. In our opinion the eyes of the Pixie Bob are one of the most important, if not thee most important trait of a Pixie Bob.
